| Brief Information | Gabriela Silang was a Filipino revolutionary leader who at one point took over the leadership of the Ilocos Revolt against the Spanish colonial government. She is considered the first female leader of a Philippine revolution and is a national hero of the Philippines. After her husband's death, she led the revolt and continued to fight against the Spanish. |
